Missing Keywords & Adobe Lightroom

With Lightroom 4 due out shortly, I figured I'd go through my existing 3.6 install and clean it up before upgrading. One of the things I wanted to tackle was images that are missing keywords. Much to my surprise, my catalog had 4753 of them

Not only can this make searching for images a pain, it also hurts your search engine traffic if you post your images to your site for display.

For those of you who use Lightroom and aren't familiar with how to view images missing keywords, you simply set a Text filter with "Keywords" and "Are Empty" (Screenshot below)

On the bright side, it's nothing a Sunday morning, good music and a great cup of coffee won't fix.
